Just for interest sake, the following is a list of dental specialists and a brief description of each in their area of expertise.

Endodontist: specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of root canals (removal of the tooth’s internal infected nerve system.)
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon: specializes in tooth extractions and reconstructive surgery of the face, mouth and jaw due to diseases, injuries or defects.
Orthodontist: specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and correction of tooth and jaw misalignment to improve oral health and appearance.
Oral Pathologist: specializes in the study, analysis, identification and management of diseases and conditions affecting the jaw and facial regions.
Pediatric Dentist: focuses on providing dental care for infants and children through adolescence, and for patients of all ages with special needs.
